Floor Seats!

I am not sure we will ever be able to go back to sitting in the stands of the Marriot Center after being introduced to the floor seats! My first observation was the large size of the players! They cant be over 5 feet tall from row 27. They dont want you to go thirsty and provide you with plenty to drink. My favorite part was hearing everything that Carlino had to say! I never knew this continous conversation between players was going on. Dinner before and treats during half time didn't hurt either. Thank you Ryan and Ashley

President's Day

I'm making a comeback...not one but two post!

Over President's Day weekend we went over to my sister-in-law's cute house and had a delicious dinner. Apparently the cooking learning curve for new wives doesn't apply to her. We played Wizard ( my new favorite game ) and I just happened to win and then played The Great Dalmuti a game introduced to the Lutz family by Andrew. For dessert we dipped apples, strawberries, bananas, and marshmallows into chocolate and caramel. Delish!

The to do list for the next day included: buy a ceiling fan, put it up (with the help of Grandpa Lutz), fix the drain in the spare bedroom upstairs, and the door to our shower. We added getting a new vacuum (thank you bbandb for having a great return policy) and a quick shopping trip to Micheals with Grandma Lutz for scrapbooking supplies.

The Mirror

The Lutz’s Wednesday night:  After mutual I ran to Wal-mart to grab some orange juice and print off a picture. Craig had a meeting after so I was going to pick him up on my way back. I always get distracted at Wal-mart. I got my picture, cookies, oatmeal, and a few other things, and was heading to check out when I saw this gorgeous mirror. I have been looking for a floor leaning mirror for some time now, so I was thrilled to see this thick black edged 6X4 leaning mirror on sale! I thought to myself wouldn’t it be cool to get it home and surprise Craig. I had a hard time getting into the cart, but I managed. I had to hold it with one hand and push the cart with the other. It was tricky due to the size. As I was trying to get it to fit inside my car I realize I have made an error in my judgment of size. About a foot of the mirror is hanging outside the car. For about 25 minutes I tried everything I could think of to get it to fit, but my arms were getting so tired. A crazy lady in a van was waiting and kept waiting to take the parking stall next to mine  it was really irritating me. I tried to close my door as much as I could, but hello. I hear my phone ring. It’s Craig. He was done with his meeting and decided to walk home and informs me the spare key is inside the house. Perfect! I am stuck at Wal-mart with my mirror hanging out and he is setting on our front porch without a coat locked out in the dark. Thank heavens for brothers withbig trucks. About 10 minutes later Kyle was taking the mirror out my car and putting it in his truck. As we arrived home there was Craig sitting just as I had pictured.  We love the mirror!

Craig Tackles Taxes

We decided this year that we were going to do taxes on our own and not pay someone else to do it for us.  So this weekend Craig got out all our papers and forms and went to work.  His mom has been doing their taxes forever so she walked him through the process.  How hard can it be to add and subtract?  Well, he got it done in just under 2 hours.  He was pretty pleased with himself.  He said he was ready to do it again next year.
We also went to the BYU - Utah basketball with Kirk and Lauren's tickets.  We had a really good time.  We especially like the introductions when they drop the white fabric and bring the players out.  The best part was that BYU won.  We spotted Deron Williams, Elder Perry and Elder Nelson in the stands.

When Craig met Karrie

We met at Alpine Village the summer of 2009.  We were in the same ward but Craig knew Karrie existed long before she knew of him.  He got his buddy Cory to set him up on a date with her.  Our first date was to the Planetarium up in Salt Lake.  We dated for 6 months and Craig proposed on New Years Eve in Colorado Springs.  We were married for time and eternity on June 4, 2010 in the Salt Lake Temple.  We bought a townhouse in Orem and really enjoy spending time together.  Craig works for Qualtrics as a data analyst and computer programmer.  Karrie is going to school and works for Adobe as an auditor for their engineering team. Life has treated us great and we look forward to life together!
